Even 23 years after their divorce, Demi Moore still has feelings for Bruce Willis.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis were previously known as Hollywood’s “IT” couple. They were both A-list Hollywood personalities who drew international notice.

Everyone thought their story was over after their divorce, but they still share a special connection more than 20 years later.

Even after their divorce, Demi Moore and Bruce Willis have never been critical of one another. Demi Moore finally discusses a little-discussed chapter of her life—her divorce from actor Bruce Willis—in her explosive memoir “Inside Out.”

“It sounds strange, but I’m proud of our divorce,” Moore said in her book. Willis was concerned that Moore’s “anger and whatever baggage” from their time together would turn things ugly.

Willis probably expected their divorce to be difficult, as many divorces are. “But I didn’t, and neither did he,” Moore said.

The couple met during Moore’s then-fiancé Emilio Esteves’ film “Stakeout” premiere in Los Angeles. Moore, who had previously been married to Freddy Moore from 1981 to 1985, began seeing Willis soon after meeting him at the film premiere.

Rumer Willis, their grown-up daughter, is a replica of her parents.

According to a family update, Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with dementia.

Bruce Willis and Emma Heming have released a new emotional video in response to the actor’s diagnosis.

Four months into their relationship, the couple had a “whirlwind” romance that led to their marriage. On November 21, 1987, they married on a whim in Las Vegas. After hearing the news, they decided to become parents for the first time.

They were going to the casino when Willis brought up Moore’s wedding. She brushed it off, but when they arrived at the casino, the action star brought it up again, and Moore could tell he wasn’t going to back down.

They had their first daughter Rumer in 1988, their second daughter Scout in 1991, and their youngest daughter Tallulah all within a few years.

In her memoirs, she stated that the couple was less interested in one other and more intent on becoming parents. “I think both of us were more passionate about having kids than we were about being married from the beginning,” Moore says.

Yet, as their marriage deteriorated, they spent less and less time together. In the end, they filed for divorce in 1998. It was also revealed that they had been living separate lives before publicizing the news.

Willis claimed that he still adored Demi Moore the year their divorce was finalized and that they were committed to doing what was best for their children. Demi is still my girl, Willis claimed. We’re almost there. […] I feel we’ve come as near as we’ve ever come.

As they split up, they inevitably began dating other people. Willis noted that when Moore started dating other guys, he began to feel envy. He credits Will Smith, the actor, with changing his mind. He described how Smith had instructed Willis to ensure everyone got along for the children to benefit.

Willis and Emma Heming married in 2009 and had two daughters, Evelyn and Mabel. Moore married actor Ashton Kutcher in 2005, but the couple divorced in 2011.

The spouses formed a blended family and maintained close relationships with one another. Despite this, Kutcher and Willis developed a strong friendship.

Willis spoke about their blended family in 2009, saying how they managed to maintain such a close bond.

“Demi and I decided to put the kids first, and we’re lucky that it turns out we all have fun together,” he remarked.

The ex-spouses always portray a united front in front of their children. Rumer’s parents attended her “Dancing with the Stars” performance and enthusiastically supported her.

Demi Moore even attended Willis’ Comedy Central Roast in 2014. Moore publicly thanked Willis for her “mixed family” in March 2022. She wished the actor a happy birthday on Instagram, writing, “Happy Birthday, Bruce! I’m grateful for our blended family.

Soon later, Bruce Willis’s family revealed that he suffered from the communication condition of aphasia. Willis’ illness and decision to retire from acting were also shown in a joint statement from Moore, Heming, and their children.

In February 2023, Moore updated Willis, noting that his diagnosis had altered and he now had frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

“Unfortunately, communication difficulties are only one indication of the condition Bruce is suffering with,” she wrote about her ex-husband, alongside a photo of him at the beach. She stated that they were disappointed and relieved to know what they were up against.

Additional information regarding the disease was revealed in a statement made by the family on The Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration’s official website. Anyone can develop the illness, “the most common type of dementia in those under 60.” In rare circumstances, it may take years to diagnose the condition.

Because there is presently no cure for Bruce’s disease, the family is attempting to raise awareness of it. According to the family, if Bruce had been well, he would have wanted to raise more awareness about the issue, therefore, they would do it in his place.

They also thanked everyone for their good wishes, stating, “We have been so affected by the love you have all shown for our loving husband, father, and friend during this terrible time.”

Despite Bruce’s illness, the family has remained close. Moore and Heming have become Willis’ caregivers, and the combined family has dubbed themselves the “Women of Willis/Moore.”

Willis and Moore are divorced, and the former has been remarried for the last 13 years, but they are still close. Moore views his two girls with Heming as her own “family.”

Moore even attended the couple’s 2009 wedding and vow renewal ceremony a decade later. “She embraced me into her family as I welcomed her into ours,” Heming explained.

Rumer Willis also compliments her parents on their attempts to always maintain civility. She recalled how, as a youngster, her friends whose parents had divorced would be forced to pick between one another, but she had never been in such a situation.

“I didn’t have to do it,” she explained. Her parents, she adds, always put her and her sisters’ well-being first.

This family has such an incredible bond with one another. We’re expressing our love to the Willis/Moore family. Please join us in sending our best wishes!
